THEE BOXES BOOM painting is housed in a damp cities sidewalk with neon signs buzzing above underneath the night sky, the future above us while we live in the tale of a lost ghosts past. A purple boombox, portable cd player with corded headphones adorning her geniuses head. The Coyote Ugly cd playing on repeat as she dances in her powder purple room in the first actual house her guardians built for her family. Her siblings and parents gifting her the playground to hunt snakes and chop their heads off with shovels to bring back as trophies. The young monstera as fearless as ever riding her unicorn plushie into the stars abyss. The vibration of the songs in her ears singing the music to her souls path leading her to help the homeless housed in their own boxes. Your Surge fights homelessness to those specifically finding a home inside of a box or on a box. The cardboards strength holding LAC’s Surge items from home to home, businesses gifting boxes for free, a true gift in times of need, and a beautiful craft to use and recycle as well. Building box houses while a young toot and transcending to any place I can imagine is quite powerful.


You are someone who’s working in the freight business or has an affinity for the texture and smell of boxes. You like the porosity of the boxes, their many functions, ability for recycling, and specifically the visible tunnels in the cardboard and zigzags that create space. You like pinching or pressing it together, it releases endorphins in your soul. You don’t like the plastic sound in fact you may have just cringed and tensed up, sorry to ruin your high. My book will have my name as the author. The only exception to my work not being signed is on the garments, purse, accessories and heels I wear for your Surges.
